RAF IN CONCERT RECEIVES RAVE REVIEWS

Audience members at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham have given the RAF's Unsung Heroes concert a big thumb's up according to one of the UK's leading video websites, specialising in capturing the public's passion at events as they happen.
Winkball.com filmed audience members before and after the concert, the first of a 13-date national tour, asking them about their reasons for attending and how much they enjoyed themselves.
Mr and Mrs Howell said: "We thought the concert was superb. The soloists were very good and the violinists were excellent. The Squadronaires were tremendous. We will definitely come and see it next year."
Robert, from Birmingham, also commented on how impressed he was with the musicians. He said: "What I found most impressive was how talented and professional they are. It is extremely poignant when they make reference to those currently serving and those have served in the Air Force in the past. The concert is another way of remembering what our Armed Forces do for us and we owe a great debt of gratitude to them. I can't fault the concert and I will always make the effort to come every year."
The concert tour, featuring soloists Flt Lt Matthew Little and Joanne Pullen, ends at the Congress Theatre, Eastbourne on December 11.
Pauline Barrett, who says she has been every year for the past 20 years, said: "I loved every minute of the concert. Our compere Ken Bruce was very good. I come every year and will keep coming back because I enjoy it so much. My late husband was in the Royal Air Force so I like to support them."
Alan Millington, from Stratford-upon-Avon, commented: "I love the shows and I love the music. I have seen them numerous times and we will continue to support the RAF in anyway we can. There is such a variety of music from military to west end show music and classical music. The xylophone player was a highlight, he was absolutely brilliant. If I could have shouted 'more, more, more' I would have done. The whole show was superb and it seems to get better each year we come."
