CHARITABLE TRUST STAYS POSITIVE

CHARITABLE TRUST STAYS POSITIVE

Following the previous success of the RAF Deployment Journals for teenagers with parents serving away, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust is delighted to launch a wall chart to support younger children, designed on their behalf by The Victoria Chart Company.

The My Staying Positive Chart is aimed at children from four years of age (with the support of their parent/carer). It is designed to encourage a child to record weekly events, set targets and monitor progress. The chart also serves as a reminder that there are still great things going on in their lives and people that care about them even when their loved one is away.

Children can mark their loved ones location on the map of the world and write information about their family member, there is a poem to learn, a week to view calendar for children to complete with fun busy things. There is also a tick-off activity list to help children move positively through the week covering topics such as encouraging children to eat healthily, get active, keep smiling and write an e-bluey to their loved one who's away. When placed centrally in the home this chart provides a great focal point for all the family to refer to, bringing comfort from structure and routine.

My Staying Positive Chart has been distributed on behalf of the RAF Charitable Trust to RAF families via RAF Community Support. For further information about The Victoria Chart Company please visit www.VictoriaChartCompany.co.uk.

The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust is the parent charity of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises who organise the annual Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford. The Trust is keen to support project based initiatives and welcomes applications for grants from charities and organisations that are part of the RAF family.
