COMBAT STRESS BENEFITS FROM GRANT

Hollybush House has a new exercise machine thanks to the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust and the Rotary Club of Alloway.
Hollybush House in Ayrshire, which is run by the charity Combat Stress, had an urgent need to replace their existing exercise equipment which is used in the treatment of ex-service men and women suffering mental and physical health problems as a result of combat stress.
Ex RAF Pilot Tim Timlett of the Alloway Rotary Club, who do a lot of fundraising for Hollybush House, brought the broken machine to the attention of the Charitable Trust and applied for funding to replace it.
Combat Stress is the leading service provider in the care of Veterans' mental health. They deliver specialist, trauma-focused treatment and support to ex-service men and women whose problems are chronic, complex and long term. Hollybush House is a residential centre providing short stay clinical treatment within a safe, peer-group setting.
The Trust is keen to support project based initiatives, and welcomes applications for grants from charities and organisations that are part of the Royal Air Force Family.
