This year's highlights included:

  • A stirring tribute to Britain's 'finest hour' as aircraft icons of the past met their modern counterparts in a breathtaking display to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain
  • The daredevil flying of the world's leading aerobatic teams including the UK's very own RAF Red Arrows
  • The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet catapulting into the skies. The gladiator of the US Navy delighted visitors. 
  • Two of the last flying Messerschmitt Bf109s participating in a stirring Battle of Britain anniversary tribute
  • Over two miles of static aircraft, interactive activities and ground exhibitions
  • The Bloodhound SCC model – a jet propelled vehicle set to challenge the world land speed record
