MAGNIFICENT SEVEN - DAY TWO
Welcome to Day Two of the Air Tattoo's 'Magnificent Seven' Easter Egg-stravaganza of Aircraft.
Each day this week, we're announcing a new aircraft taking part in this summer's airshow along with an easy-to-enter competition. Yesterday, we not only announced that an RAF Typhoon piloted by Flt Lt Jamie Norris will be taking part in the flying display and we gave away a fabulous Half-Day Caterham Driving Experience and five runner-up prizes.
Congratulations to our winner and runners up who have all been contacted by email.
Today's aircraft, sporting a special desert camouflage paint scheme, will also be taking part in the Air Tattoo's seven-hour flying display. To view one of the airshow team announcing the latest aircraft participant, see the video below.
To celebrate, we're offering you a rare opportunity to own an original piece of artwork, courtesy of the creators of the Alex cartoon strip, as seen in the Daily Telegraph's Business section.
The artwork was kindly donated by co-creator Russell Taylor, whose father Hal, a former RAF flying instructor and Air Tattoo supporter, led a team of enthusiasts to restore British Gloster Meteor T7 WA-591 that he flew 60 years ago. The aircraft was on static display at the Air Tattoo in 2011 and 2012.
