REDS WAVE THE FLAG FOR AIR TATTOO

THE Red Arrows have been painting the skies above Gloucestershire red, white and blue in their highly-anticipated displays at the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford this weekend.

The Reds are one of the star attractions at the world's biggest military air show, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, being admired by young and old worldwide for their dynamic and colourful performances.

Squadron Leader Graeme Bagnall of the Red Arrows, who flew the Tornado GR4 before joining the aerobatics team, said: "The Air Tattoo is something that Britain can be really proud of. It's dynamic and exciting, and for us to be part of such a large British spectacle is very important.

"To consider ourselves to be flag-wavers as part of this ambassadorial event, especially in its 40th anniversary year, is a big honour."
