Tickets
Can I buy tickets on the day?
There will be no tickets for sale at the gate as it is advanced tickets only.
What concessions do you give?
Over the years we have had requests from various different groups asking if they can have concessions. Unfortunately, it would be impossible for us to agree to them all and still raise funds for our parent charity: the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. Instead, we decided we would allow youngsters aged under 16 in for free. This means that mums and dads who bring their children; grandparents (OAPs) who bring their grandchildren; Servicemen and women who bring their youngsters etc. can all enjoy the benefits of a very significant concession.
We also decided that our parking would remain free of charge for all. This is a 'concession' that the majority of people can enjoy rather than a specific group. We feel this is fairer.
How many under 16's can I bring in with me on a general admission ticket?
We do not restrict the number of children per ticket holding adult.
Why haven't I received my tickets?
The mailing of tickets will commence in mid December 2011. After this date please allow up to seven days to receive tickets ordered via airtattoo.com or the Air Tattoo Ticketline.
If you order your tickets from airtattoo.com or via the Ticketline in the week commencing 25th June 2012 and have not received them by Tuesday 3rd July 2012 please call 0800 107 1940.
I can no longer make it to the show; can I return my tickets for a refund?
No, all tickets are sold as non-refundable.
I've lost my tickets / my tickets have been stolen, can you send me some replacements?
Unfortunately lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced.

Parking
Is parking on hard standing (concrete) or grass?
Both, it depends on which car park you are directed into but it can't be guaranteed which you will be in for security reasons.
What time do the car parks open?
The field car parks open at 6.30am. There will be no access to the on-base (hardstanding) car parks until the gates open at 7.30am.
Parking for early arrivals will be available in car parks (grass) on the Red, Blue and Green routes. Opening Friday at 22:00 and Saturday at 22:00. There will be no opportunity to relocate your vehicle once the Public Gates open. Limited toilet facilities will be provided in the early arrivals car park.
Is there parking on concrete for motorbikes and is there somewhere I can leave my crash helmet?
The parking depends on which car park you are directed into but it can't be guaranteed which you will be in for security reasons. We have a Drop Zone (left luggage) which is situated next to the Main Public Information Tent on the showground where you can leave crash helmets/leathers etc.
What is the Postcode for Sat Nav purposes?
GL7 4EG will take you close but once the AA road signs are picked up you should follow the signs and not the Sat Nav.
Can I get back to my car during the day?
You can have re-admittance to the showground up until 5.00pm. Please check with the gate team before leaving the show ground.
Can I bring my bicycle in to the showground?
No, bicycles must be left in the off base car parks where they can be secured to the fencing provided at each public exit point.
Aircraft at RIAT 2012
Is a certain aircraft at RIAT 2012?
You can view the most current list on the
aircraft participation page. This will be updated regularly between April 2012 and the Air Tattoo. Aircraft are only added when we have confirmation of their attendance.
What's the difference in the show days?
The flying programme is generally the same each day although aircraft may display at different times.
Miscellaneous
Can I bring my own food/picnic/fold away chairs?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink, catering is also provided on the show ground. You may bring in fold away chairs or picnic blankets to sit on and can leave these and picnic/coolboxes in the Drop Zone (left luggage) next to the Main Public Information Centre.
Can we have a Barbeque on the airfield?
No, these are not allowed.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortuntely dogs are not permitted entry to the showground or Air Tattoo car parks. This is not only for health and safety reasons, but the vast majority of aircraft at the Air Tattoo are extremely noisey and very likely to casue distress to dogs, due to their acute hearing sensitivity. Please also note Police patrol the car parks and will take action if an animal has been left in a car.
