ANTARES DROPS ANCHOR AT MILITARY AIRSHOW
Anchors aweigh! It'll be plain sailing for one of the more unusual items on static display at the world's largest military airshow this summer.
Among the 300 aircraft on display at the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire on July 7-8 will be Tingdene Marinas' Beneteau Antares 7.80.
Set to make waves, the Beneteau Antares 7.80 is a versatile day-boat with modern sporty lines. Features include a wheelhouse saloon that converts to a double berth, a galley corner, separate WCs and a totally adaptable cockpit that converts to a sunbathing platform.
Though it may not feature all the characteristics of some of the more high performance static display items – its maximum altitude and combat capabilities being two of its weaker points – the Antares does possess some unique characteristics.
Steve Arber, Operations Director of Tingdene Marinas Ltd said: "Most people wouldn't expect to see a boat on display at one of the world's largest airshow which is precisely why we're there!
"I hope that when people see the boat among the vast array of aircraft on display it will make them stop and want to take a look.
"There are a number of reasons why we felt it was an appropriate place to promote the benefits of our stylish Beneteau Antares 780 not least the sheer numbers of people who attend the event. Whilst its cruising speed might be somewhat slower than your average fast jet it has the same sleek lines - and costs considerably less!"
Visitors can view the Beneteau Antares 7.80 in the central showground area.
