SLOVAK AIR FORCE MIG-29 CONFIRMED FOR AIR TATTOO
Following an absence of 13 years, a MiG-29UB from the Slovak Air Force will once again touch down at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire – much to the delight of the thousands of fast jet fans attending next week's Air Tattoo.
The return of the Slovak Air Force to the Air Tattoo is extremely welcome, especially given that the air arm last appeared at the show in 2000, and has not sent a MiG-29 since 1999.
Not for many years either has the Air Tattoo boasted 'Fulcrums' from two different countries, with the flying display this year by a Polish example adding to the Slovak jet's static showing.
The aircraft will be joined on static display by a Slovak Air Force Let-410, a twin engined, short range transport aircraft.June 27, 2012
