Volunteer Accommodation

We use a variety of accommodation to accommodate our volunteers. Read below to find out more about each type.

Accommodation Blocks (Buildings 551,552 & 592)

We have three accommodation blocks within the Volunteer Village; rooms are shared with up to 3 people per room. Some of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and others have shared facilities.

If you are staying in buildings 552 and 592 you will need to bring sleeping bags/bedding and pillows. A fitted sheet is recommended.

If you are staying in building 551 sheets and pillow cases are provided. You will need to bring a duvet/sleeping and pillow.

Sleephuts

These temporary wooden structures sleep two and offer bedding, towels plus a security coded entry system; therefore, there is no requirement to bring any bedding. These are situated on the edge of the Staff Campsite and share the toilet and shower facilities.

Please note there are no en-suite facilities with the Sleephuts.

Suitehuts

These temporary wooden structures sleep two and offer bedding, towels, fridge and kettle plus a security coded entry system; therefore, there is no requirement to bring any bedding. The Suitehuts also provide the benefit of an en-suite shower and electric flushing toilet.

These are situated opposite the Belden Diner alongside building 592.

Flexotels

These lockable temporary rooms sleep two and offer linen and towels so there is no requirement to bring any bedding. Table, chairs and lighting are also available. Please note there are no en-suite facilities with the Flexotels.

The Flexotels are situated by the campsite and share the toilet and shower facilities.

Staff Campsite

Pitches on the staff campsite must be booked in advance during the online registration process. Electric hook-up can be requested for caravans and motorhomes only but is not always guaranteed. There are plenty of toilet and shower facilities on the Staff Campsite.

NOTE: Owing to health and safety requirements and electrical supply issues, staff campsite pitches are unfortunately not available to personnel requiring the supply for personal medical equipment.

External Accommodation

We have a number of external accommodation in the local area ranging from B&B's, local schools and activity centres. All meals are provided within the Belden Diner within the Volunteer Village. Transport is arranged to and from your accommodation through your teams.

If you are accommodated at Coln House School you will need to bring your own bedding with you.
