Switzerland's national aerobatic display team the Patrouille Suisse have confirmed participation in this summer's Air Tattoo.
Their displays at the show will be the team's only appearance in the UK this year. They last visited the Air Tattoo in 2014 when they celebrated their 50th anniversary.
The six F-5E Tiger II's, which comprise the Patrouille Suisse, are flown by pilots chosen from frontline squadrons. The aircraft's bright colour scheme incorporates the red and white of the Swiss national flag.
Welcoming the Swiss team's confirmation, Air Tattoo Chief Executive Andy Armstrong said he was honoured that the Patrouille Suisse had chosen the Air Tattoo to perform their only UK displays.
He said: "Displays by international aerobatic teams such as the Patrouille Suisse are always hugely anticipated by our Air Tattoo crowd because they create such a wonderful spectacle. Our links with the team go back to 1979 when they first performed at Greenham Common and they have been regular and very popular additions to our flying display programmes ever since."
Patrouille Suisse Commander, Lt Col Nils Hammerli said: "We're very much looking forward to displaying at the Air Tattoo this summer."
