French Navy Atlantique 2

A long range maritime patrol aircraft operated by the French Navy will be on static display at the Air Tattoo.

The Breguet-Dassault Atlantique (ATL2) is primarily designed to perform reconnaissance and anti-submarine roles over the sea with the capability to deploy detection buoys and underwater torpedoes against submarines.

In addition to supporting the French Navy's worldwide operations, the aircraft also performs a multitude of search & rescue and electronic warfare tasks.

The aircraft will come from Lorient/Lann-Bihoué Naval Base on the west coast of France.
