Norwegian F-16

Two F-16 Fighting Falcons from the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) will be on static display at this summer's Air Tattoo. The aircraft, based at Ørland, will come from 338 skv.

The aircraft, which replaced the F-104 Starfighter in the late 1970s, are themselves due to be replaced after 2015. Last year, Norwegian F-16s took part in Unified Protector, a UN directed operation to protect the Libyan civilian population.

“It was an epic spectacle, as magical as anything you've ever seen in the West End, and as loud as anything you've ever heard at Knebworth.”

Jeremy Clarkson, Television Presenter

“All the thrills, excitement and noise of a Grand Prix, but in the air!”

Jenson Button, Formula 1 Racing Driver

“This is the best airshow!”

Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11 Astronaut
