Patrouille Suisse

Expect to see a splash of red and white in the sky above RAF Fairford this July, following an announcement by the Patrouille Suisse that they will be performing at the Air Tattoo this summer.

Formed in 1964, the team is the national aerobatics team of Switzerland.

Sleek and graceful, the six F-5E Tiger IIs create a dynamic display - and an eye-catching one - thanks to the aircraft's bright colour schemes incorporating the red and white of the Swiss national flag. The pilots - all volunteers from various frontline squadrons - are famed worldwide for performing precise formations at high speed.

The Air Tattoo is delighted that the accomplished Swiss Air Force aerobatics display team will be returning to RAF Fairford to demonstrate their power, precision and commitment in one of only four international displays outside of Switzerland in 2012.

“It was an epic spectacle, as magical as anything you've ever seen in the West End, and as loud as anything you've ever heard at Knebworth.”

Jeremy Clarkson, Television Presenter

“All the thrills, excitement and noise of a Grand Prix, but in the air!”

Jenson Button, Formula 1 Racing Driver

“This is the best airshow!”

Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 11 Astronaut
