RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
Three iconic aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight are again very welcome additions to the Air Tattoo's flying display.
Hot on the heels of taking part in official celebrations marking The Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the BBMF Lancaster, one of only two flying Lancasters in the world, will be joined by a Spitfire and a Hurricane at RAF Fairford.
Air Tattoo Chief Executive Tim Prince said: "The flying display would not be the same without the graceful Spitfire, majestic Lancaster and legendary Hurricane and the distinctive sound of the their six Merlin engines,. Not only do these classic warbirds remind us of a bygone age but of the eternal debt we owe to 'the many' and 'the few'."
