BOOK MARKS 90TH ANNIVERSARY OF RAF

A book by a former RAF officer has been published to mark the 90th anniversary of the formation of the RAF.

The Royal Air Force Day by Day, written by Air Commodore Graham Pitchfork MBE, BA, FRAES, is an illustrated record of British military aviation heritage presented as a diary of daily operations, examining the conditions experienced by RAF personnel both in peacetime and in war.

Air Commodore Pitchfork served for 36 years as a Royal Air Force navigator and was awarded the MBE for his work with the Buccaneer in the maritime strike role. He is now the aviation obituaries writer for the Daily Telegraph and Chairman of the Buccaneer Association.
