RIAT OFFERS AIR CADETS DEAL

Uniformed Air Cadets aged 16 and over are being offered the opportunity to attend this year’s Royal International Air Tattoo free of charge.

As a reflection of their commitment to support the Air Cadet Organisation, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises (RAFCTE) is offering older cadets in uniform free entry to RIAT. Currently all under-16s who are accompanied by an adult ticket holder are allowed free entry. Now, uniformed Air Cadets aged between 16 and 18, who are accompanied by an ATC adult ticket holder, will also get in free. Because of a change in ticketing policy, however, the special offer will only apply on Sunday 13 July.

In addition 200 free of charge tickets are available for Sunday 13 July for any uniformed Air Cadet aged between 16 and 18 who wishes to attend RIAT with a non-ATC adult ticket holder e.g. parent, guardian etc. If you wish to take up this offer please submit a request to your Unit Commander who in turn will bid on your behalf. All submissions should be received by the Unit Commander by no later than Friday 27 June
. Only 200 of these tickets are available so hurry!

Fred Crawley, Chairman of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises, said: “Although strong links between the Air Cadet Organisation and the Air Tattoo have existed for many years, the generous support our parent Trust has provided to a wide range of Air Cadet initiatives during the past three years has taken our relationship to a different level. We hope that our decision to allow such a large number of uniformed Air Cadets to come to the Air Tattoo on Sunday free of charge will enable cadets that are not part of our formal detachment to enjoy this summer’s airshow.”
