AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ROYAL AIR FORCE CHARITABLE TRUST
The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust is able to dispense funds:
- To promote the recruitment to, and efficiency of, the Royal Air Force. To this end, the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust will support the Royal Air Force and encourage air-mindedness through the opportunities presented by the Royal International Air Tattoo, by established links with youth groups including the Air Training Corps and by developing other opportunities with the RAF.
- To raise funds in support of the work of Royal Air Force charities.



Which charities are eligible to apply for grants?
Charities and organisations that are part of the “Royal Air Force family” are invited to submit bids for project-based grants, which meet the Trust’s mandate. Trustees of the RAFCT will approve applications for grants.
The current Trustees are:

The Secretary of the Trust is Mr Chris Murray OBE
Additionally, the RAFCT retains close links with the RAF, primarily through Assistant Chief of Air Staff.

How is money raised for the Trust?
Money is raised through the activities of the Trust’s trading company, The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises based at Douglas Bader House, Fairford, Gloucestershire.
