May Day Moley

Published: 01 May 2015

Hiya Folks, Moley Here

Okay, so I didn't make the last clue purposely difficult but guys, give me a break . . . I hardly stepped foot outside of RIAT's Flight Ops department before the alarms went off.

Anyhow, this time, I reckon I could take a week to make my escape and still manage it before you guys crack the clue to this, as yet, unannounced aircraft . . .

Want to take my challenge? There's a prize for the first person to submit on the Air Tattoo Facebook page the name of the aircraft and the air force along with at least two elements of the clue cracked.

Prize is The Aircraft Book (Dorling Kindersley, £25) featuring more than 800 of the world's greatest and latest aircraft.

So here goes:

I'm going to give you a sporting chance with this tall story. Initially, you'll need to think of a chap who could claim to be connected to 19th century painter, professionally speaking. If you need more help, think 'back'. Anyway, Park
that thought for now and seek some peace. Are you game?

As for the aircraft, well if you're thinking of crossing my palm for an aural clue, it will set you back a collective mra
and a gel. Add to this a word that might follow the first name of a soulful US singer, connect it to a popular digital TV series and victory will be yours - as Churchill might have said.

Simple eh?!
Good Luck

“It was an epic spectacle, as magical as anything you've ever seen in the West End, and as loud as anything you've ever heard at Knebworth.”

Jeremy Clarkson, Television Presenter

“All the thrills, excitement and noise of a Grand Prix, but in the air!”

Jenson Button, Formula 1 Racing Driver

“Probably the most complete air show Iíve ever been to!”

Al Worden, Apollo 15 Astronaut
