Location: Fairford - office based  

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an administrator to join our Air Operations team to help support the department in the delivery of The Royal International Air Tattoo 2023. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 
 

Monitoring Aircraft Administration IT System and communicating with RIAT participants. 

Monitoring & Actioning emails received in the Air Ops Department Shared Inbox. 

Assisting the Aircrew Logistics Manager with the implementation of the Pass System for all RIAT participants, and all Vehicles Passes required across Air Ops Department Maintenance of budget-tracking spreadsheets. Maintenance of electronic diaries and contact lists. 

Arranging meetings; producing agendas and where necessary drafting minutes. Maintenance of good working relationships with (this may require weekend working):              

Air Operations Volunteer Teams 

Appointed Contractors, such as Stagecoach 

RAF Fairford Personnel 

Research & Purchase ad-hoc Air Ops Equipment as required/directed. 

Ad-Hoc Duties and Requirements to assist Air Operations Department, such as signage creation, management of volunteer clothing, PPE provisions, business card creation. 

Type of Contract/Working Hours 

FTC until 28th July 2023 
 
36.25 hours per week. All employees are required to work the Saturday or Sunday before the Royal International Air Tattoo and the whole weekend of the event.

What we will offer

A salary of £23,000 pro rata is accompanied by a pension, and we also hold staff wellbeing and social events throughout the year.  
 
You will also be given two complimentary tickets to The Royal International Air Tattoo and a staff discount of 50% for an additional six.

About You

If you have strong administrative skills to include good written and verbal communication, consider yourself to be IT literate with a good knowledge of MS Office we would strongly encourage you to apply. 
 
You must be able to demonstrate that you can manage high workloads whilst working under pressure and be committed to excellence by taking pride in your work.  Knowledge of RIAT and or Airfield, Aircraft or Aviation Operations are desirable. A full UK driving licence is required.
