Location: Fairford - office based 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our Finance, C&IT, and CS team to create "first class" Finance, IT&C, Marketing and Customer Service capabilities for the Royal International Air Tattoo 2023. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

Customer Services General Duties: 

  • Cover the front desk to greet customers/visitors to headquarters in a friendly manner. Receive all deliveries to the office and notify relevant staff
  • Take and administer ticket & merchandise orders
  • Carry out assigned duties associated with and at RIAT and any other event
  • Manage questions coming through Webchat on the website - these are immediate virtual face to face conversations
  • Action all incoming calls as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • First point of contact for all customer complaints to be prioritised and responded to within 48hrs
  • Liaise with all departments to resolve customer services issues
  • Manage and book meeting rooms/cars as requested by other staff members
  • Attend Fire training in order to assist with fire evacuation process swiftly 
  • Work with temporary staff in the department as workload increases in the run up to the show
  • Pack up and mail out enclosure and parking passes
  • Handle Local Resident calls in addition to general ticket enquiry calls. Increase of visitors to DBH that require assistance
  • Maintain call tracker document over showtime  

Type of Contract/Working Hours

Fixed term contract until 21st July 2023. Full-time - minimum 36.25 hours, typically 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, flexibility is essential with regard to working hours, and some weekend working will also be required from time to time to fulfil responsibilities. Applicants must be able to commit to working weekends 8th or 9th July and 15th and 16th July (RIAT Weekend) are essential.

What We Will Offer:

A salary up to £22,500 pro rata is accompanied by pension and we also hold staff wellbeing and social events throughout the year. 

You will also be given two complimentary tickets to The Royal International Air Tattoo and a staff discount of 50% for an additional six.

About You:

If you have previous customer service experience, with the ability to multitask whilst working under pressure, along with good verbal communication then we would strongly encourage you to apply. 

IT Literate with Microsoft office experience is essential along with database management would be desirable.
