CIVILIAN EUROSTAR

The Czech built EV-97 EuroStar is the lighter of a pair of similar aircraft, the other being the SportStar. Both aircraft are visually similar however the EuroStar is designed to qualify for the European Ultra-Microlight category whilst the SportStar is designed for the US Light-Sports Aircraft category. An electrically powered version of the SportStar has also been developed called the Evektor. The EuroStars running costs are similar to that of a car making it a very cost-effective aircraft for flying clubs.

The RAF Halton Flying Club will be providing one of their Eurostars for static display at this year's Air Tattoo.
