Italian Air Force HH-139A

The Leonardo HH-139A is a medium lift helicopter operated by the Italian Air Force in the utility, search and rescue and VIP roles. The Air Arm maintains a fleet of 13 examples, first delivered in 2012 around 11 years after the type first took to the skies. The aircraft are fitted with a huge amount of sophisticated equipment, including NVG-compatible glass cockpit, 4 axis autopilot, Infra-Red camera, video downlink capabilities and many more features. Italy also has the provision to fit the HH-139 with 70mm unguided rockets and underslung bucket for firefighting. One HH-139A will be on static display at RIAT 2018.
