Royal Navy Avenger T.1

Known as the Avenger by the Fleet Air Arm, this specialist variant of the King Air will appear on static display at RIAT 2020. The aircraft is operated by 750 Naval Air Squadron (NAS) and forms part of the UK Military Flying Training System provided by Ascent Flight Training. 750NAS utilise the advanced sensors installed on the Avenger to train the next generation of Royal Navy Observers who are responsible for navigation, communications and controlling specialist weaponry in the Fleet Air Arm. 750NAS have also recently begun to train RAF Weapon System Operators who will eventually be responsible for operating the advanced systems within the new P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft.
