SWAFHF LANSEN

Making their long awaited RIAT debut this year will be Swedish Air Force Historic Flight who are sending their classic jet trainers for our static display. Originally developed specifically as a ground attack aircraft entering service in 1951, Lansen was eventually replaced by the Viggen in the attack role. The type was also modified for a variety of different roles including fighter and electronic warfare throughout its career. Two aircraft remained in service in order to collect high altitude air samples for scientific studies, collected volcanic ash during 2010, these have now also been retired.
