Army Air Corps Lynx AH7

Nearing the end of its service life as the new Wildcat arrives, the Lynx AH7 is a true workhorse of the Army Air Corps. Although now largely replaced by the Apache in the attack role, the Westland-built AH7 variant of the outstandingly fast and agile multi-role Lynx helicopter continues to fulfil utility duties, and an important training function with 671 Squadron of the Army Aviation Centre at Middle Wallop. One of that unit's pilots will demonstrate the considerable aerobatic attributes of the Army Lynx at RIAT 2014, the AH7 version with its skid undercarriage being the only British military helicopter cleared to perform loops, rolls and 'backflips'.
