German Army Bolkow 105

The Bo 105 helicopter has been around since the 1970s and has served with many different operators around the world. Its twin-engine, light-weight design makes it a very flexible aircraft and it has been used in both battlefield assault and support roles by military and civilian/governmental operators around the globe. The main production lines were located in Germany and Canada to service the main operators of the type and the German Army specifically has flown both the Bo 105P and Bo105M variants, one of which will be seen at RIAT 2014. Additional facilities have also manufactured the aircraft in Spain, the Philippines and Indonesia, although mainstream production ceased in 2001 when the more modern and capable Eurocopter EC135 superseded it.
