Hunter Mk58

Located on the shores of Lake Constance, the Museum of Flying at St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport is the only one of its kind in Europe, in that it not only flies many classic aircraft but also provides pleasure flights to the paying public. Amongst the museum's airworthy jets are several ex-Swiss Air Force Hunters which retired from service in 1994 but remain one of the most loved types by pilots and enthusiasts alike. Alongside operational Swiss Air Force Hunter squadrons, the aircraft was also used by the Swiss national aerobatic display team, the Patrouille Suisse, until the end of its service life and it is an aircraft in the colours of the team which will be getting airborne to display for visitors at RIAT 2014. It is hoped that an opportunity will also exist to bring it together in formation with the modern day Patrouille Suisse in their F-5E Tiger IIs.
