An example of the latest variant of the venerable C-130, the C-130J Super Hercules, will be on static display at RIAT 2014 courtesy of the Royal Norwegian Air Force. The C-130J can fly further and faster, with more payload and higher reliability, than the older C-130Hs the nation had been operating. Norway took delivery of its upgraded airlifters between 2008 and 2010. The new fleet enables Norway to fully meet its national airlift requirements and missions in support of international organisations like the UN and NATO. The aircraft will come from 335 Skvadron based at Gardermoen Air Station, 50km north of Oslo.
