BELL 429

The Bell 429, also known as the GlobalRanger, is one of the newest members of Bell Helicopter's extensive product family. The first flight of this twin-engined multi-purpose helicopter was in 2007. Aside from civilian and para-military operators, including police forces and medical evacuation organisations, the 429 serves with the Royal Australian Navy. In the UK, a notable user is the National Grid, which uses the type for power line inspections. The cabin can accommodate up to seven passengers, while the machine, which has a fully 'glass' cockpit, can be flown by a single pilot. Large side doors make it ideal for the medevac and transport roles.
