The Bristol Aeroplane Company responded to the outbreak of the First World War in 1914 with the Bristol Scout, a rotary engined, single-seat biplane. The type served with the Royal Flying Corps, the Royal Naval Air Service and the Australian Flying Corps. A Bristol Scout Type C will be attending the Air Tattoo 2016, the first British-built wheeled aircraft to fly from the deck of a Royal Navy carrier at sea. The aircraft was restored by David Bremner and will be appearing as part of the BAE Systems Collection.
