Royal Jordanian Falcons

The national aerobatic team of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Royal Jordanian Falcons were formed in 1976 at the behest of the late His Majesty King Hussein, a pilot and aviation enthusiast of great renown and a great supporter of the Air Tattoo. Then they flew the Pitts Special - today the Falcons use a competition aerobatic aircraft of the modern generation, the German-designed Extra EA300L. The four-ship formation is made up of former Royal Jordanian Air Force fighter pilots. Based at King Hussein International Airport in the Red Sea resort of Aqaba, the team acts as a 'roving ambassador' for Jordan, and undertakes an extensive European tour every summer.
