Jet Provost T.3A - Civilian

The Jet Provost is a British jet-powered trainer aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force from 1957 to 1993. It was also successfully exported, serving in many air forces worldwide.

The Jet Provost T3 version, produced between 1958 and 1962, featured a more powerful Armstrong Siddeley Viper jet engine, ejector seats, a redesign of the airframe, and a shortened and strengthened version of the retractable tricycle undercarriage. The T3A model was produced with improved avionics systems.

In the early 1990s, the RAF replaced the Jet Provost with the ShortTucano.
