The Air Tattoo have made 43 additions to the aircraft particpation list today (Thursday 21 June).

Making a very welcome, and probably last, appearance on static display at the Air Tattoo this summer will be a German Air Force F-4F Phantom. Phantoms are rarely seen at European airshows as the type has been withdrawn from service in all but the German, Greek, Japanese, Turkish and US air forces. Germany has just one squadron remaining Jagdgeschwader 71 (fighter wing 71) based at Wittmund.

Also added to the participation list is one of the world's largest aircraft and the largest aircraft in the USAF airlift, the C-5 Galaxy. The C-5 Galaxy can carry a fully equipped combat-ready military unit to any point in the world on short notice and then provide the supplies required to help sustain the fighting force.

At this late stage we are still expecting to confirm at least one 'very special' aircraft, which should be announced shortly.
