Event & Hospitality Coordinator

In support of the Royal International Air Tattoo this fixed term contract post requires an efficient and capable individual to work within our Commercial Department to, in the main, assist with the administration, management and delivery of the 28 corporate hospitality chalets. 

This role, alongside another temporary position, will also involve assisting two other people (Hospitality Executive and Merchandise Executive) with all aspects of planning and delivery of the public upgrade enclosures and the RIAT merchandise stock - . The ideal candidate will be IT literate, confident, accurate; and have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills along with an eye for detail and a flexible approach to work.

Your Main Responsibilities:


  • To work closely with the Head of Hospitality in planning and managing the delivery process of all corporate hospitality chalets at RIAT, liaising directly with sponsors and contractors as directed on their individual requirements e.g. ordering furniture, florals, catering, bespoke builds, AV kit etc
  • To support the overall Department to deliver a successful RIAT 2022
  • Support with the co-ordination of a team of 30 volunteers in advance and during the show
  • To co-ordinate and administer the pass process and security arrangements for all contractors and sponsors
  • Provide a seamless client experience, ensuring a superior level of customer service is met at all times
  • To take an active role in administering all post show chalet invoicing. Support the tracking of all spend against budget and providing accurate forecasting to the Head of Hospitality on a monthly basis.

  • Experience in project management/coordination or hospitality and events

Working hours:

Full-time 9am to 5pm Monday to 24th January - 26th August, flexibility is essential with regard to working hours, and some weekend working will also be required from time to time to fulfil responsibilities. Applicants must be able to commit to working weekends 9th or 10th July and 16th and 17th July (RIAT Weekend) are essential.

A full, clean UK driving licence and own transport is essential for this position.

Salary: £20,800 per annum (pro rata)
