A regular visitor to the Air Tattoo is G-RAVN, a Robinson R44 light helicopter owned by Alan Smith.
Alan is Chairman of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises and a Trustee of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust.
He first attended the Air Tattoo in the 1970s as marketing manager for Allied Breweries enjoying the event so much he became a volunteer.
Flying out of Wellesbourne airfield in Warwickshire, Alan's helicopter is often used as a platform to provide aerial photographs during the Air Tattoo's flying display.
In 2007, Alan took centre stage flying with Sir David Jason to the Air Tattoo's media launch in a helicopter specially painted in the style of the Trotters' famous three-wheeler.
His current non-executive roles include being a Non Executive Director of FLYBE and NAAFI.
