The world's largest professional civilian display team of jet aircraft, the Breitling Jet Team flies seven Aero L-39C Albatros trainers, built by Aero Vodochody in what was Czechoslovakia, now the Czech Republic. While conceived as a military aircraft, the L-39 has proved increasingly popular on the civilian market since the end of the Cold War. When not touring the globe, the team is based at Dijon-Darois in France. Its leader Jacques Bothelin has been operating civilian aerobatic teams for more than 30 years. Having not long returned from a trip to China and back, the Breitling Jet Team will be touring the USA in 2015.
