More than 1,100 examples of the L-410 Turbolet twin-turboprop light utility transport have been produced, and counting, for the factory in the Czech town of Kunovice is still building new examples. It started off as a Czechoslovak product, made by Let, and flying for the first time in 1969. Today the type is built by a firm called Aircraft Industries. The Slovak Air Force took on a small fleet of L-410s when it was established as an independent air arm, and it has since received some new-build examples. The L-410UVP-T version on static display at RIAT 2015 will probably come from the 3rd Squadron stationed at Malacky-Kuchyňa.
