Head of Marketing

Location: Fairford - site based

What are we looking for?

As the Head of Marketing for the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust
Enterprises you will be responsible for managing the Brand of both
RAFCTE (RIAT) and RAFCT (The Charity), directing the marketing team
and as well as overseeing the customer experience journey, so you will
need to be a commercial leader who can handle the pressure of this full-on role.

You’ll need to be a brilliant communicator and a pro-active problem solver, being confident across all parts of your job and willing to get hands on with the event management, volunteer engagement, as well as raising the profile of the charity by growing its income and taking responsibility for their internationally renowned event, the annual Royal International Air Tattoo.

 

Type of Contract/Working Hours:

Full-time (36.25 hours per week) Monday to Friday, part-time or job share would be considered.  

The successful applicant will be required to work part of approximately 4 weekends per year.  Applicants must be able to commit to working the weekend of the Royal International Air Tattoo (2024 19th-21th July) 

 

What We Will Offer:

A salary from £55,000 - £60,000 and is accompanied by pension, private healthcare and 4x life assurance, we also hold staff wellbeing and social events throughout the year. 

  • 20 days annual leave (rising to 25) plus Bank Holidays 
  • Christmas closure of our offices (not taken from leave allowance)
  • 2 days paid volunteering leave per year 

Non-Contractual:  

You will also receive two complimentary tickets to The Royal International Air Tattoo and a staff discount of 50% for an additional six.

 

About You:

| EXPERIENCE:

• Degree level standard of education
• Proven track record in a senior marketing position
• Experience in digital marketing and social media.
• Ideally a marketing qualification such as CIM Fellowship


| KNOWLEDGE:

• Customer-centric approach with success in orienting an organisation
around its customers.
• Customer insight, exploiting data and insight through successful
feedback and measurement systems.
