Not all of the money raised through the activities of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust Enterprises (RAFCTE) is gifted to the Trust. The RAFCTE's Board of Directors wish to create a firm financial footing to assure the company's long term future. For this reason, and with the support of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, a modest amount is retained each year to protect against unforeseen contingencies.
