The Global 6000 is an ultra-long range business jet, falling
into the large cabin category. The aircraft can carry up to 13 passengers in
its civilian configuration, with a maximum range of 6,000 miles when carrying 8
passengers.
The aircraft has also found use in air forces, predominantly
as a VIP transport but also in the airborne early warning (AEW) and
intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR)
roles. The RAF operates a fleet of five Sentinel R1 aircraft, modified versions
of the Global Express, with work undertaken by Raytheon. The example at RIAT
2019 is provided by Bombardier.
