Air Tattoo 2019 Wins Award

It may seem a long time ago, but RIAT 2019 scooped one of the top honours at a prestigious awards ceremony staged online recently.
The 2019 Air Tattoo won 'Event of The Year' at the SoGlos Lifestyle Awards 2020. Quite an achievement in such an event-rich region.
Attracting a record total in excess of 38,000 votes, the 23 category winners would usually be unveiled at a glitzy awards ceremony. Instead, it was up to RIAT's Head of Marketing, Helen Webb, to accept the award at a virtual ceremony.
In her acceptance speech, Helen thanked all those who voted for the airshow and paid tribute to the airshow's supporters, volunteers and permanent staff.
She said: "We are thrilled. Knowing that our 2019 event, which was a really, really, good show, has been recognised in this way will help lift our spirits and push us on as we plan our big 50th anniversary event in 2021." 
Among the other winners on the night was Air Tattoo regular, Adam Henson, whose Cotswold Farm Park won 'Family Day Out Venue of the Year'.
