NH90 TTH - Finland

The NH90 was formerly a product of the NHIndustries conglomerate, which is now part of Airbus Helicopters. This multi-role machine is available in two main versions, the TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) and NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter). Deliveries of 20 NH90 TTHs to Finland took place between 2008 and 2015, the type having been ordered to replace the veteran Soviet-era Mil Mi-8. Local assembly was undertaken by Finnish manufacturer Patria. Service entry took place with the Helicopter Company of the Utti Jaeger Regiment, a special forces training unit stationed at Utti in south-eastern Finland. This unit took on responsibility for all helicopter operations within the Finnish Defence Forces.
