Piper L-4H Grasshopper
The L-4H Grasshopper was the World War Two US military version of the Piper Cub. The type was extensively used for battlefield reconnaissance and acted as a spotter plane for artillery among other roles. The version attending this year's Air Tattoo is the L-4H which benefitted from improved equipment when lead to eventually 1,801 of them being built.
