About the role:

As the Sponsorship Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of sponsorship-related activities across the showground. You will lead and manage a team of six University Air Squadron students, providing support and guidance throughout the event. This role required a strong understanding of agreed plans while maintaining flexibility to respond effectively to ad hoc requests and challenges as they arise.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for corporate and aircraft showcase clients, escalating the issues to the Techno Zone® Manager where needed 
  • Manage the team rota, ensuring fair distribution of responsibilities and balanced workloads throughout the event 
  • Oversee the delivery and installation of showcase furniture in line with agreed plans 
  • Oversee the installation of corporate branding banners across the showground – including the flight centre 
  • Liaise with RIAT Transport and Media Teams to accompany the arrivals and transport of RIAT Sponsors 
  • Ensure sponsorship support to enclosures where necessary 

What commitment is required?

  • 7 Days  Tuesday pre-event to Monday post event

Travel:

In line with our sustainability commitment, we strongly encourage volunteers to car share wherever possible, and/or utilise public transport.  

The following is in place to support our volunteers with any out-of-pocket expenses. 

  • Motor Mileage: Claim 45p per mile (maximum 315 miles) return mileage to RIAT and to encourage car sharing, an additional 5p per additional passenger may be claimed by the vehicle driver
  • Train Fare: Travel should be standard class; reimbursement will be made up to the maximum claim amount (£100.00) on the production of receipts, tickets, or confirmation email
