  • Two complimentary tickets for the Air Tattoo to give to family or friends
  • Discount on merchandise
  • Campsite/ Accomodation
  • Meals
  • H&S training and ongoing support via a Team Manager
  • Access to our Volunteer Village
  • New skills, experiences and meeting new friends and like-minded people

Here's what some of our previous volunteers have to say...

"So happy to be back with my RIAT family and help put on a brilliant event :)'' - Admissions Team

''Loved every minute immensely, great can do culture'' - Aircrew Reception

''I feel very valued as a volunteer. We are offered complimentary and reduced rate tickets, given a uniform and discount on all the merchandise. On top of this we are thanked by everyone from the team supervisors and managers to the Chairmen of the Royal Airforce Charitable Trust'' - Air Tattoo Merchandise

"A shout out to another fantastic RIAT team - The Viewing Village Team who hosted almost 12,000 members of the public to their enclosure over the three days of RIAT. From old hands, to the newbies who slipped seamlessly into the team, the embodiment of what being a RIAT volunteer is all about" - Viewing Village

''It was one of the most satisfying shows I have attended in the past 20 years and the quality of support provided to volunteers, especially the Village Pub idea, made me feel valued'' - Aircrew Transport

Arrival at Team Reception

Each team has different roles and time requirements for volunteering at the Air Tattoo, but all volunteers visit Team Reception upon arrival. You'll be greeted with a warm smile and will receive a welcome pack that is full of all the relevant information you need to know such as your accommodation and dining times.

Accommodation

At the Air Tattoo, we have a range of different accommodations available. The volunteer accommodation is basic and all rooms will be on a shared basis. We also have a campsite where you can stay in your own tent, caravan or motorhome! We are here to make sure you get a great night's sleep and wake up ready for a thrilling day at the Air Tattoo!

Food

We provide three meals a day for our volunteers. We have an Airfield Diner so it's easy for our volunteers to stop and enjoy a great meal. Dietary requirements can be catered for.

Activities

There is a Volunteer Village, including a pub where you can relax with your team at the end of a busy day.
