Leonardo AW149

Performing in the flying display on Friday only at this year's Air Tattoo is the Leonardo AW149 medium-lift multi-role helicopter. Achieving military certification in 2014, the AW149 is one of the competitors in the UK's New Medium Helicopter competition to replace a number of British military helicopters including the Puma. The AW149 is in service with the Egyptian Navy, the Royal Thai Police and Army, in addition the Polish Army ordered 32 examples in June 2022.
