What are we looking for?
We are looking to appoint an Assistant on a fixed-term contract who will support the Hospitality & Event Executive in the planning and delivery of RIAT 26,
 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • To work closely with the Hospitality and Event Executive in the planning and delivery process of all public and corporate hospitality upgrades at RIAT, at times, liaising directly with internal stakeholders and contractors.  
  • Provide everyday support and administration to both the Hospitality and Event Executive and the Head of Hospitality and Events. 
  • Liaise with our caterers to ensure customer dietary requirements are recorded.  
  • To lead with the administration and management of two public enclosures.  
  • To administer table planning in the Aviation Club. 
  • To assist with the administration of the Pass mail out process. 
  • To lead with the administration of the volunteer team. 
  • To support the team in providing a seamless customer experience, ensuring a superior level of customer service is always met 

 

Type of contract/working hours:

FTC 13/04/2026 until 24/07/2026
 
36.25 hours per week. Based in Fairford, Gloucestershire  
All employees are required to work the Saturday or Sunday before the Royal International Air Tattoo and the whole weekend of the event.    
RIAT Weekend Date: 17th-19th July 2026

About you:

The ideal candidate will have GCSEs including Maths and English, with prior experience in customer service or events and strong IT skills. You will be a confident communicator who can work independently or as part of a team, prioritise effectively, and perform well under pressure. Customer-focused and commercially minded, you will lead by example, put safety first, and take pride in delivering excellent service with a flexible, proactive approach.
