Raj Mody

Raj Mody is a Chartered Actuary and Founder & CEO of Selene One Ltd, a professional skills development and executive coaching boutique. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and experienced adviser to major companies and trustee boards on strategic, financial and risk issues relating to pensions. He was an Equity Partner in a “Big 4” global professional services firm for 19 years, successfully creating, leading and growing a variety of businesses in the UK and globally.

Raj has had a passionate interest in aviation-related matters and STEM/space throughout his life. He spent time in the RAF Combined Cadet Force reaching the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer. He graduated with a first class degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford, with a special interest in fluid dynamics. While his executive career has been in professional and financial services, he maintains a private pilot's licence as a hobby, flying Robinson R44 helicopters.

Raj has extensive board experience in executive and non-executive capacities. He chairs our Group's Finance, Audit & Risk Assurance Committee, and is a Member of our Investment Committee. He also serves as an Independent Expert Member on the Investment Committee and Finance Committee of the Royal British Legion.

He is married to an NHS doctor and they have two school-age children.
