About the role:

The Techno Zone® Logistics team, set-up and de-rig to ensure the space is ready for an amazing weekend. They manage deliveries, position furniture and signage, and carry out safety checks before opening. Throughout set-up, they support exhibitors, troubleshoot issues, and keep everything on schedule. At the end of the show, they coordinate logistics, handle waste and recycling, and leave the area clear and compliant.  

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with setup and dismantling, ensuring smooth access for exhibitors and contractors as required 
  • Arrange the furniture within the Techno Zone® marquee  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing logistical inquiries, from exhibitors and contractors 
  • Be aware of emergency protocols, including procedures for medical incidents, lost visitors, fire, emergency evacuation, and technical malfunctions, and know who to contact for assistance 

What commitment is required?

  • 8 Days - Monday pre-event to Monday post event

Travel:

In line with our sustainability commitment, we strongly encourage volunteers to car share wherever possible, and/or utilise public transport.  

The following is in place to support our volunteers with any out-of-pocket expenses. 

  • Motor Mileage: Claim 45p per mile (maximum 315 miles) return mileage to RIAT and to encourage car sharing, an additional 5p per additional passenger may be claimed by the vehicle driver
  • Train Fare: Travel should be standard class; reimbursement will be made up to the maximum claim amount (£100.00) on the production of receipts, tickets, or confirmation email
